Volunteering at FRESH

Volunteers are crucial to our work at FRESH. There are lots of ways to get involved with FRESH:

  • Get your hands dirty at the FRESH Farm or Community Garden Center!
  • Help out with Educational Programs for New London school children!
  • Work with FRESH to start a new Community Garden in your neighborhood!
  • Teach a workshop or serve as a mentor in our Youth Program!
  • Help organize a Mobile Market stop in your New London neighborhood!
  • Help get the word out about FRESH and our work!
  • Assist in fundraising in your town or community!

There are many ways to get involved as a volunteer at FRESH New London – from weekly commitments to one-time contributions of time. . FRESH is always looking for volunteers in all aspects of our organization. Volunteers are the cornerstone of our operation, and we could not accomplish all that we do without their ongoing support. FRESH understands that people volunteer with a variety of interests, availability and motivations; we strive to match these with appropriate FRESH projects and programs.

Emergency Contact

  • Release & Waiver of Liability I hereby acknowledge the following: That I freely volunteer my time & energy with FRESH New London. I understand that FRESH is a working farm, mobile market, and community garden. As such, heavy duty farming equipment, electrified fences, and other such hazards inherent to farming activities exist on the Property and may pose a danger to me. Therefore, on behalf of myself and any of my dependents, heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives and assigns, hereby release and hold harmless FRESH and its officers, directors, trustees, employees, agents, licensees or representatives from any and all liability resulting from any injury I may sustain in connection with and arising out of such hazards, or in connection with my participation in the Activity, or my presence on the Property. I further waive any claims or causes of action that I or my dependents, heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives and assigns may have against FRESH and its officers, directors, trustees, employees, agents, licensees or representatives, to the extent that such claims or causes of action arise out of events or circumstances in connection with the hazards referred to above, with my participation in the Activity, or my presence on the Property. I acknowledge that FRESH is undertaking no duties with respect to me.
