The FRESH Mobile Market is a roving affordable organic vegetable market fully staffed by the FRESH (youth) Crew. The Mobile Market began running once a week, on Fridays from July-October of 2006, and has run two afternoons per week in season for the past two years (2007-2008). The market visits neighborhoods in New London with little access to fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as children's summer programs, shelters and non-profit agencies.
Produce sold at the Mobile Market includes: carrots, potatoes, cabbage, collard greens, turnips, lettuce, dill, parsley, cilantro, cucumbers, watermelon, squash, tomatoes, onions, garlic, tomatillos, peppers, & more …….all freshly harvested and grown naturally and organically!
Prices at the Mobile Market are driven by affordability. We accept EBT Food Stamps at our markets. We sell the majority of what we produce through the Mobile Market and are interested in beginning to sell some produce from other local farms in order to broaden our selection, especially for fruits.
